The game will be released sometime this spring on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC ( Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Star Trek: Resurgence is scheduled for worldwide release in Spring 2022 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 gaming consoles, and exclusively on the Epic Games Store for PCs. Star Trek: Resurgence (which features Spock quite heavily in the video) may achieve that, as it does feel fresh while still retaining a certain sense of familiarity. Maybe that’s why Bruner left the studio back in the day because he felt they “needed to break out of the Telltale formula, do something different, surprise and delight people.” Telltale used a lot of IPs, but there was a minimal deviation in gameplay. Think of Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy, Batman… but you could also say, Sam & Max. So Star Trek: Resurgence is another significant IP, a trend with Telltale. It comes in one complete package, not in an episodic format. Star Trek: Resurgence will have two playable characters, and you’ll switch between them throughout the story. You can get a pretty good sense of Telltale’s style coming through in the gameplay, as you can see in the more than seven-minute video that there are three options to choose from in the dialogue on six occasions. The studio was founded by Kevin Bruner, the former CEO of Telltale Games, and many of the studio’s employees have joined him. Star Trek: Resurgence is scheduled for worldwide release in Spring 2022 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation5, PlayStation4 and exclusively on the Epic Games Store for PCs. Thanks to IGN, we can also see gameplay footage of the game, which Dramatic Labs are developing. Revealed at The Game Awards 2021, Star Trek: Resurgence will be a “narrative adventure game featuring dialogue choices, relationship building, and exploration.” It’s set in 2380, directly after the Star Trek: The Next Generation movies.
